‘Titanic’ Is Returning to Cinemas in 3D 4K Re-Release For its 25th Anniversary

Titanic’ is returning to theatres in an upgraded form to commemorate its 25th anniversary

  • Titanic, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, will return to theatres in February 2023 in an enhanced version.

According to Deadline, James Cameron’s comeback to oversee the blockbuster film will honor the 25th anniversary of its original release after three decades.

The movie will be presented in 3D 4K resolution, with an increased frame rate to reduce the usual eye-strain that can come with the 3D format.

The restored version of the 1997 romantic drama will be released in 3D 4K HDR and at a high frame rate.

Cameron’s producing partner and Lightstorm Entertainment COO, Jon Landau, made the announcement during Disney’s CineEurope event in Barcelona.

During the event on Wednesday, Landau even gave a little preview of the 3D adaptation of one of Hollywood’s highest-grossing pictures.

The film received 14 Academy Award nominations and won 11 in 1998, with key characters played by Billy Zane, Kathy Bates, Frances Fisher, and Gloria Stuart
