For the upcoming Men’s T20 World Cup, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finally issued a revised list of players where Sarfaraz Ahmed, former captain, will be replacing Azam Khan.
The PCB has issued a statement on Friday stating that there are three changes in the T20 squad that was announced last month. The changes are made keeping in mind the form and performance of the players.
Besides, Sarfaraz’s inclusion, Haider Ali and Fakhar Zaman have also made their places in the team after replacing Mohammad Hasnain and Khushdil Shah respectively. Meanwhile, the participation of Sohaib Maqsood is dependent on his health condition.
The T20 World Cup 2021 is expected to start from Oct 17th to Nov 14th in the United Arab Emirates. Pakistan will be playing in Group 2 and will be facing India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Oct 24th.
The T20 squad list was issued last month by Muhammad Wasim, however, it became controversial because many experienced players were left out and some inexperienced players were brought forward.
