Jungkook, a member of BTS, began his birthday celebrations by writing a new song for fans, cutting a cake with J-Hope, and throwing a short show.
On September 1, BTS member Jungkook turned 24 (international age), and the celebration was nothing short of a âparty, party, yeah!â The artist chose to celebrate his birthday with fans by holding a two-and-a-half-hour live session on the South Korean video streaming site Vlive titled âHappy birthday to me.â
Jungkook hosted the live stream from his studio and greeted fans in the minutes leading up to 12 a.m. KST. As fans waited for the clock to strike 12, the BTS singer announced that he would be writing a song live for them.
The singer was turning messages from fans on Reverse into lyrics and composing the song.
Jungkook had invited fans on Reverse earlier in the day to send him phrases or lines that they wanted to say to him. The artist selected a few messages, created lyrics from them, overlaid them with various vocals, and gave them to fans, who were blown away.
Jungkook began counting down to his birthday after sharing a glimpse of his music-making process. The singer claimed that next to him was a cake with the message âStill With Youâ scrawled on it, a reference to his song.
