Pavel Duro, the founder of Telegram, stated that 70 million users migrated to Telegram on Monday’s outage of Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram globally.

There was a massive blackout of major social media apps on Monday, which lasted for 6 hours. Due to some technical error, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp stopped working suddenly, everyone was considering it to be a minor outage, but it stopped the world for 6 hours. Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of these platforms, lost $6 billion of his total worth. But this outage did a lot of benefit to Telegram and Twitter.

One day ago, the founder of Telegram stated that Telegram registered 70 million users during this outage; this report seems legit because that was the most prolonged blackout of social media platforms in history. Countless users, even WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook, also wandered to Twitter which slowed down Twitter services.

Telegram also gained loads of users when WhatsApp updated its privacy policy a few months back. There is always an alternative for everything, but we have to accept that we can’t imagine our lives without WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram.  This outage fetched disturbance among people for a few hours, but everything got back to routine as well.
