Google has officially confirmed that its next hardware showcase will take place on August 20, 2025, solidifying weeks of leaks and speculation surrounding the Pixel 10 series launch. The event, which will be streamed globally, is expected to feature an array of product unveilings beyond just smartphones.
The headline acts of the event will be the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. These smartphones will be powered by the Tensor G5 chipset, the first Google-designed processor to be built using TSMC’s advanced 3nm process, breaking away from Samsung’s foundry. Analysts expect better heat control, longer battery life, and more efficient AI computations.
Alongside the Pixel phones, Google is also set to introduce the Pixel Watch 4, which is rumored to offer extended battery endurance and improved health tracking features. Additionally, a new iteration of Google’s affordable earbuds — the Pixel Buds 2a — may be introduced with spatial audio support and better integration with Android 15.
Camera improvements will be a major focus this year. Sources suggest Google is integrating macro shooting capabilities into both ultrawide and telephoto lenses across the Pixel 10 range. Users can also expect enhancements in computational photography, portrait rendering, and AI-guided image correction.
A notable new feature is “Pixelsnap,” a magnetic accessory system compatible via Pixel-exclusive cases. Unlike Apple’s MagSafe, the magnets won’t be embedded in the phones themselves, offering accessory flexibility while keeping the device slim.
This launch comes one year after the Pixel 9 lineup, which drew praise for its clean Android software and intelligent imaging but faced criticism for subpar thermal performance and limited battery life. With hardware and software both expected to receive substantial upgrades, the Pixel 10 may represent a generational leap for Google in the premium smartphone space.
