Peshawar Zalmi continued their remarkable run in the Pakistan Super League 2026, securing a convincing seven-wicket victory over Karachi Kings at Gaddafi Stadium. The win marks their eighth consecutive triumph, solidifying their position as one of the most dominant sides in the tournament.
Chasing a competitive target of 183, Zalmi comfortably reached the total in 18.5 overs with three wickets in hand. The chase was anchored by a crucial partnership between Kusal Mendis and Farhan Yousaf, who turned the game decisively in their team’s favor after a brief wobble in the powerplay.

With momentum briefly shifting, Mendis stepped up to stabilize the chase. The wicketkeeper-batter played a composed innings, registering his fourth half-century of the season and keeping the required rate under control.
Zalmi faced another setback when Aaron Hardie was dismissed for five by Khushdil Shah. However, that proved to be Karachi’s final breakthrough as the momentum swung firmly back in Zalmi’s favor.
Mendis and Farhan then built a match-winning partnership, steadily taking the team past the 150-run mark. Farhan accelerated in the closing stages, ensuring there were no late twists in the contest.
Farhan Yousaf remained unbeaten on 54 off 35 balls, hitting four boundaries and three sixes, while Kusal Mendis led the scoring with a brilliant 80 off 43 deliveries, including five fours and four sixes. Farhan sealed the victory with a boundary, also bringing up his maiden PSL fifty.
