The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) launches a helpline, catering specifically to individuals with disabilities, to facilitate the issuance of Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) at their doorsteps.
This innovative initiative aims to tackle the accessibility challenges faced by people with disabilities, ensuring their active participation in society. Through the home-based CNIC issuance service, NADRA officials will visit the homes of individuals with disabilities to collect the necessary documentation, record biometric data, and issue CNICs, eliminating the need for them to visit NADRA centres physically.
The newly established Special Helpline 1777 acts as a centralized support platform, offering comprehensive assistance and guidance on NADRA’s services to individuals with disabilities. This initiative reflects NADRA’s commitment to inclusivity and empowerment, striving to remove barriers and promote seamless integration into society for all citizens.
By providing identity card services directly to their homes, NADRA aims to foster inclusivity and equity, ensuring that every individual, regardless of ability, has equal access to essential services. Beyond convenience, this initiative signifies a broader societal dedication to upholding principles of dignity, equality, and social justice for all members of the community.
