They say only two people can understand a doctor’s prescription – the doctor themselves or the pharmacist. However, Google has decided to jump in with yet another innovative technique to help us decipher these prescriptions.
The tech giant has announced recently that it has created a new product which is capable of reading some of the most difficult handwritings in the world. It means that that the newly launched product is also capable of reading a doctor’s prescription to make your life easier. The announcement was made at the Google Annual Conference in India. The product is made with the support of experienced pharmacists.
While Google still has not given any information about the release of this product, it is very much clear that whenever the product is released, it will be part of Google Lens.
According to Google, this product will “act as an assistive technology for digitizing handwritten medical documents by augmenting the humans in the loop such as pharmacists, however no decision will be made solely based on the output provided by this technology.”
Currently, India is the largest user of Google Lens and since the announcement is also made there, it is speculated that the product will also be released in India first and then it will be launched in other countries.
The event also showcased some interesting tech-related products. Google also revealed that they are working on a unified model that will have more than 100 Indian languages.
