The vaccination drive has been started for students in the government colleges of the province.
So far, 5,667 students have been vaccinated, stated the Directorate of Colleges.
Whereas, the Sindh government has decided to initiate the COVID inoculation of grade-9 to 12 students in schools and colleges of the province, linking it further with an agreement certificate from parents.
In a meeting chaired by education minister Sardar Shah, it was agreed to go ahead with the health department proposition to introduce an inoculation drive for grade 9 to 12 students.
The meeting decided to take into reassurance of the families and schools before the inoculation process.
Furthermore, the schools in Sindh reopened on August 30 with firm standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The schools were permitted to stay open six days a week with 50% presence of students on substitute days with the condition of 100 percent inoculation of the teaching and non-teaching staff.
