Public Colleges

The Punjab government has rolled out a new fee structure for its public colleges, set to take effect in the 2024 academic year. This comprehensive update covers various programs from Intermediate to Master’s degrees, ensuring clarity and transparency in educational costs.

Intermediate Programs

Students enrolling in Intermediate programs such as FA, I.Com, and ICS will face an admission fee of Rs.80, with a monthly tuition fee of Rs.50. An additional charge of Rs.300 per month applies to those attending the second shift. For the FSC program, the admission fee is Rs.65, and the monthly tuition fee is Rs.50. These fees are designed to be straightforward, helping families budget for their educational expenses.

Bachelor Programs

The updated fee structure for Bachelor’s programs includes a range of courses. The admission fee for BSC is Rs.175, with a monthly tuition fee of Rs.60. For B.Com, the admission fee is set at Rs.85, while the monthly tuition fee is Rs.100. These fees reflect the specific needs of each program, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated.

Master Programs

For students pursuing graduate studies, the MSc Home Economics program has an admission fee of Rs.300 and a monthly fee of Rs.120. MA and MCC programs will have their monthly fees determined by the respective university policies. These fees are intended to cover the costs associated with advanced educational resources and faculty.

Flexibility for Additional Fees

The new fee structure allows public colleges to collect extra fees and funds as necessary. This flexibility ensures that institutions can meet their operational needs and maintain quality standards. The release of this structured fee chart aims to provide a clear financial roadmap, facilitating a smoother admission process for students and parents.

Encouraging Financial Preparedness

The Punjab government encourages all students and their families to carefully review the new fee structure. Understanding these costs is crucial for financial planning and ensuring that students can focus on their studies without undue financial stress. By making these updates transparent, the government seeks to support families in preparing for the upcoming academic year.
