In a proud moment for the nation, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) clinched two major awards at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025, one of the worldâs most prestigious military aviation events, held from July 18 to 20 at RAF Fairford in the United Kingdom.
The highlight of Pakistanâs participation was the PAFâs C-130H Hercules, which won the coveted âConcours dâElegance Trophyâ. This award recognized the aircraft for its visually stunning appearance, rich heritage, and immaculate presentation, earning admiration from both the judges and international spectators.
Not to be outdone, the advanced JF-17 Thunder Block III fighter jet brought home the âSpirit of the Meet Trophyâ. The aircraft, celebrated for its dynamic livery and powerful flight display, also wowed attendees by making a non-stop journey to the UK. This long-range mission was made possible through an expert air-to-air refueling maneuver, drawing global applause for the PAFâs technical precision and growing operational sophistication.

The Pakistan Air Forceâs dual victories at RIAT 2025 stand as a testament to its expanding capabilities and commitment to excellence. The event featured participation from top air forces around the globe and is held annually to support the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, while also promoting innovation and camaraderie in aviation.
With both the C-130 and JF-17 successfully demonstrating their in-flight capabilities during complex international transit operations, PAF has reaffirmed its position as a key player on the worldâs aerial stage.
