With a significant portion of McDonald’s 40,000 global restaurants impacted, including over 3,000 stores in Japan and approximately 1,000 in Australia, the outage’s scale is substantial.
In Hong Kong, McDonald’s faces a “computer system failure,” with mobile ordering and kiosks affected. Despite the disruption, McDonald’s emphasizes that there is no cybersecurity threat involved.
