Millat Group of Industries is preparing to enter Pakistan’s rapidly developing electric mobility market with a new range of electric bikes and scooters scheduled for launch next month.
The group, best known for its flagship company Millat Tractors Limited, has completed preparations at its dedicated electric vehicle production facility. Commercial manufacturing and launch preparations are now underway, according to Millat Group Director Murad Ansari.
The company plans to position its new electric two-wheelers around several key features, including reliability, battery performance, quality and competitive pricing.
Millat is expected to offer different models aimed at consumers across various income groups, potentially giving more Pakistani customers access to electric transportation options.
One of the notable features in the upcoming lineup will be swappable battery technology. This system allows users to replace a depleted battery with a charged one, offering an alternative to waiting for a conventional battery to recharge.
Millat is also placing significant emphasis on local manufacturing and supply chains. The company intends to gradually increase the local production of components, spare parts and other elements associated with its electric bikes and scooters.
The strategy builds on Millat’s long-standing experience in manufacturing tractors and agricultural equipment in Pakistan. By using its existing knowledge of local production, the company aims to develop a stronger domestic support system for its EV business.

Greater localization could also improve access to replacement parts and maintenance services. It may reduce reliance on imported components and help limit the impact of international supply-chain disruptions on customers.
After-sales support is another major part of Millat’s EV strategy. The company is establishing a dedicated dealership network for its electric two-wheelers across Pakistan.
Millat also plans to make use of the extensive infrastructure already developed through Millat Tractors. The company has more than 700 dealerships and workshops across the country, providing an established network that could support EV servicing and spare-parts availability.

For electric vehicle buyers, access to reliable maintenance and replacement parts can be an important consideration. Millat’s existing nationwide network could therefore provide additional infrastructure for supporting its new electric mobility products.
The company says its objective extends beyond simply selling electric bikes and scooters. Millat intends to develop a locally supported EV ecosystem that combines manufacturing, servicing, spare-parts availability and customer support.
Millat’s automotive experience also extends beyond the agricultural sector. The group has partnered with Hyundai Nishat in vehicle assembly and manufacturing in Pakistan, giving it additional exposure to the country’s wider automotive industry.
The planned EV launch represents a new area of business for Millat Group as it expands its established manufacturing capabilities into electric mobility.

With commercial production preparations underway, the company is expected to reveal more details about its electric bike and scooter lineup as the launch approaches, including model specifications, pricing and availability.
