We all know Shafaat Ali as one of the best comedians this country has ever produced. However, this time around, Ali is going to get serious for his role in a drama alongside Areeba Habib, Saboor Aly, Osama Tahir and others. The story of Nayhar Ka Mazhar spins around the very sensitive topic of our society – dowry.

With this new avatar, Ali is hoping to surprise viewers. This is not the first time he is going to be part of any entertainment project. Earlier he has done Romeo Weds Heer, Parwaaz Hai Junoon and now Nayhar ka Mazhar. The drama will be on-air on HUM TV.

Ali says, “I’m pretty hopeful that people will find serious work very different with my face and my acting.”

He further said that it is a story of three families and dowry. Soofia Khurram wrote the drama script which is being directed by Ali Hassan.

The shooting of the drama is going on these days and the team expects to wrap it up in December.

“The work environment is amazing. I am lucky to work around people who are filled with positivity and the gaps between the scenes are like our laughter therapy sessions,” Ali added.
