PCB’s Announcement of Pakistan’s Squad for Two-Test Series
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released its squad for the upcoming two-Test series against West Indies, scheduled from January 17 to 29 at Multan Cricket Stadium.
Notable Returns and Changes
Seven changes highlight this squad’s refreshing balance. Sajid Khan returns to the spin department, joining Nauman Ali and Abrar Ahmed. Openers Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Huraira are also back, replacing Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique.
The pace unit sees changes with Khurram Shahzad retained and Mohammad Ali and Kashif Ali making a return. Resting key pacers like Naseem Shah and Mohammad Abbas reflects a strategic focus on player workload.
Rohail Nazir, a dynamic young wicketkeeper-batter, fills the spot vacated by Hasibullah due to injury, adding depth to Pakistan’s bench strength.
