ISLAMABAD: The trophy for the much-anticipated three-match One Day International (ODI) series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was unveiled on Monday in a grand ceremony held at the Pakistan Monument, one of the country’s most iconic landmarks.
The event, organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), marked the official kickoff of the bilateral ODI series that begins tomorrow. Captains Shaheen Afridi of Pakistan and Charith Asalanka of Sri Lanka jointly revealed the gleaming silver-and-gold trophy against the picturesque backdrop of Islamabad’s national monument.
Photos and videos from the ceremony were shared on the official social media accounts of the Pakistan Cricket Team, with the caption:

The unveiling symbolized not only the start of an exciting cricket contest but also a celebration of sportsmanship and camaraderie between the two South Asian nations.
Series schedule and venues
The first ODI will be played on Tuesday, November 11, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, a venue known for its electrifying atmosphere and passionate crowd support.
The teams will then travel to Lahore for the remaining two matches — the second ODI on November 13 and the third and final ODI on November 15 — both to be held at the Gaddafi Stadium.
The PCB has emphasized that all three matches will be played under enhanced security and with special fan engagement activities planned at both venues.
Sri Lanka’s tour and upcoming tri-series
Sri Lankan captain Charith Asalanka will lead a 16-member squad featuring several young talents aiming to make their mark on the international stage.
After the conclusion of the ODI series, Sri Lanka will remain in Pakistan to participate in a T20I tri-nation series alongside Pakistan and Zimbabwe. The tri-series is scheduled to start on November 17, with the final match to be played on November 29 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
This tour marks another step in strengthening Pakistan’s cricket calendar, as the country continues to host international teams regularly — a significant sign of the sport’s revival on home soil.
Fans have already taken to social media to express excitement over the upcoming series, with many anticipating a thrilling showdown between Shaheen Afridi’s fiery pace attack and Sri Lanka’s aggressive batting lineup.
