Pakistan Railways has announced the restoration of the Bulleh Shah Passenger Train, reconnecting Lahore and Pakpattan via Kasur to improve travel facilities for passengers. The service will officially resume operations from July 17, offering daily travel on one of Punjab’s important railway routes.

The restored train service is expected to provide greater convenience for commuters, students, workers, and families who regularly travel between Lahore, Kasur, and Pakpattan.

According to Pakistan Railways, the Bulleh Shah Passenger Train will operate daily on the route. From Pakpattan, the train will depart at 5:00 am and arrive in Lahore at 10:50 am, providing an early morning travel option for passengers heading to the provincial capital.

For the return journey, the train will leave Lahore at 4:00 pm and reach Pakpattan at 9:30 pm, allowing travelers to return the same day if needed.

The restoration of the service is part of Pakistan Railways’ ongoing efforts to enhance passenger convenience and improve connectivity across the country’s rail network. By reinstating the Bulleh Shah Passenger Train, the department aims to offer a reliable and affordable transportation option for people traveling between key cities in central Punjab.

Rail travel remains one of the most economical modes of transportation in Pakistan, particularly for passengers covering medium and long-distance routes. The resumption of this train is expected to ease travel for residents of Kasur, Pakpattan, and surrounding areas while reducing reliance on road transport.

Improved rail connectivity can also contribute to local economic activity by facilitating easier movement of people for business, education, healthcare, and tourism. Pakpattan, known for its historical and religious significance, attracts visitors throughout the year, making improved transportation an important development.

Pakistan Railways has been working to restore suspended train services and strengthen its operations through improved scheduling, upgraded infrastructure, and enhanced passenger facilities. The return of the Bulleh Shah Passenger Train reflects the organization’s broader commitment to expanding accessible public transportation.

Passengers planning to travel on the restored route are advised to check ticket availability, departure timings, and any operational updates through official Pakistan Railways channels before their journey.

With daily operations set to begin on July 17, the Bulleh Shah Passenger Train is expected to once again become a convenient travel option for thousands of passengers commuting between Lahore, Kasur, and Pakpattan.
