Google for Education and local partner Tech Valley Pakistan met with Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja to discuss initiatives aimed at bridging the educational gap for out-of-school children in Pakistan.

The delegation included Paul Hutchings, Regional Head of Google for Education, Tim Paolini, Special Projects, APAC, Harris Suffian, Education Lead Pakistan, and Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley.

Discussions focused on leveraging Google for Education’s tools and Chromebooks to ensure quality learning opportunities for all Pakistani citizens. Minister Khawaja emphasized the government’s vision to transform Pakistan into an export hub through knowledge transfer and human resource development. This includes actively facilitating the growth of Pakistan’s export capacity in services, technology, and skilled workforce.
