Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has once again found himself in the middle of a storm after his younger brother, actor Faissal Khan, made sensational claims during a recent press conference. Faissal not only announced his decision to sever ties with the family but also alleged that Aamir fathered a child with British journalist Jessica Hines outside of marriage.
Faissal Khan Announces Separation From Family
In his press briefing, Faissal Khan expressed that he could no longer maintain a relationship with Aamir Khan or other family members. Speaking with what he described as a “heavy heart but renewed courage,” Faissal emphasized that his decision marked a new chapter in his life. He shared that he intends to move ahead with “positivity, truth, and strength.”
His announcement came soon after he had published a public notice and shared an Instagram post declaring that he had officially cut all ties with the family. The statement has reignited public curiosity about long-standing controversies surrounding the Khan family.
Allegations Involving Jessica Hines Resurface
Faissal Khan’s comments went further, as he claimed that Aamir Khan was romantically involved with Jessica Hines while still married to filmmaker Kiran Rao. According to him, the superstar even fathered an “illegitimate child” from this relationship.
“My family was asking me to get married. Aamir’s marriage with Reena had broken and he was in a relationship with Jessica, with whom he also has a child without marriage,” Faissal alleged.
These remarks brought back one of Bollywood’s most debated controversies from 2005, when a magazine claimed that Aamir had fathered a son named Jaan with Jessica Hines. At the time, Aamir strongly denied the claims, but speculation persisted.
Revisiting the Jessica Hines Controversy
In the mid-2000s, reports suggested that Aamir Khan and Jessica Hines shared a live-in relationship while she was in India working on her book about Amitabh Bachchan. The reports further claimed that Jessica refused an abortion and later gave birth to a son, Jaan.
Eventually, Jessica married London-based businessman William Talbot, who raised Jaan as his own. Over the years, a few of Jaan’s pictures appeared online, leading to discussions about his resemblance to Aamir.
Jessica, however, maintained that her son was happy and secure. In an interview, she mentioned that William had always been supportive and protective, adding: “He is a happy kid, he has a daddy now in William, so why should he ask about anybody else?”
Aamir Khan’s Family Life
While Aamir Khan is celebrated for his groundbreaking films and contributions to Indian cinema, his personal life has often made headlines. He married Reena Dutta in the 1980s, and the couple had two children, Junaid and Ira. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2002.
In 2005, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao, and they welcomed their son Azad through surrogacy. The couple separated in 2021 but continue to share cordial relations. Currently, Aamir is reportedly dating Gauri Spratt, who was introduced publicly during his 60th birthday celebrations.
Family’s Reaction to Faissal’s Allegations
Aamir Khan’s family reportedly responded to Faissal’s explosive remarks through an open letter. The family described his statements regarding Aamir and their mother as “hurtful and misleading.” Despite this, Faissal has stood firmly by his words, asserting that cutting ties was essential for his personal growth and peace of mind.
The episode has once again placed Aamir Khan in the spotlight, drawing renewed public and media attention to past controversies that had seemingly faded away.
