Emaar Transforms Downtown Dubai Into Grand Celebration Venue
Dubai is preparing to welcome 2026 with an unprecedented eight-day New Year’s celebration from December 31 to January 7. Emaar Properties will convert Downtown Dubai into a massive open-air stage featuring a spectacular fusion of art, technology, and entertainment. The extended festivities will go far beyond the traditional midnight countdown, offering a week-long immersive experience for visitors and residents alike.
Bollywood-Themed Experience at Burj Park
The celebration’s centerpiece will be a special Bollywood-themed event at Burj Park, created in partnership with Frontstage, a division of Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Ticket prices are set at Dh950 for adults and Dh550 for children aged 5 to 12, with complimentary entry for children under five. This exclusive experience promises to bring the glamour and energy of Indian cinema to Dubai’s iconic landmark.
Grand Parade and Spectacular Nightly Shows
Downtown Dubai will come alive with a magnificent parade featuring illuminated puppets, extravagant floats, and live performances showcasing the city’s cultural diversity and creative spirit. Each evening, the Burj Khalifa and surrounding skyline will serve as a canvas for breathtaking drone displays, cinematic light choreography, and live global broadcasts. Emaar Founder Mohamed Alabbar has described the event as “a celebration on an unprecedented scale,” designed to captivate both local audiences and international viewers.
