OpenAI has launched a remarkable update for its users living in the U.S. and Canada. Now, individuals can dial 1-800-CHATGPT and interact with ChatGPT over landline or flip phones for up to 15 minutes every month. They no longer need a subscription and not even a ChatGPT account to avail themselves of AI assistance.
OpenAI has introduced the ChatGPT WhatsApp number, 1-800-242-8478, for users worldwide. WhatsApp users can now text this number and chat directly with ChatGPT as they would on the app. This integration allows the user to ask questions, seek guidance, or explore conversational learning in a very seamless way.
While the ChatGPT WhatsApp number has strong conversational abilities, features like voice mode and image generation will be available only on the app or web platform. OpenAI will soon look to upgrade the WhatsApp experience by letting users authenticate their ChatGPT accounts and unlock such features as web searches and interactions through images.
For now, WhatsApp users can explore AI-driven tools through Meta AI, which includes interactive features like image generation and conversations with virtual characters. OpenAI’s latest steps signal its commitment to bringing AI assistance closer to daily life, making it more inclusive across devices and platforms.
