Meta-owned WhatsApp is currently testing new customization features in a beta version for iOS. According to reports from the update tracker portal WABetaInfo, users will soon be able to personalize the main color palette of the app and customize the color of chat bubbles within conversations.
Testing for these features commenced in January, with the main color scheme feature being the first to be introduced. The latest beta version allows users to select chat bubble colors from a predefined set to maintain necessary color accessibility and readability of messages.
However, WhatsApp has not yet announced an official release date for these features. These customization options aim to enhance the user experience on WhatsApp for iOS, offering more personalized and visually appealing chats.
As WhatsApp continues to innovate to meet user preferences, these features represent another step towards improving overall usability on the platform.
