BTS Takes ARIRANG to Cinemas: How Live Viewing Expands a Stadium Tour Beyond the Venue

BTS ARIRANG world tour live viewing from Kaohsiung and Jakarta cinemas

BTS’s ARIRANG world tour is moving beyond stadium gates through a live-cinema model that allows fans in multiple markets to watch selected concerts on the big screen.

Tickets for BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN KAOHSIUNG & JAKARTA: LIVE VIEWING went on sale on November 5 through the official live-viewing platform. The project will broadcast BTS’s Kaohsiung concert on November 21 and the Jakarta finale on December 29, with screening times varying across territories.

For Digital Spartans, the bigger story is how this model changes the reach of a global music tour. A stadium show has a fixed capacity and requires fans to travel to a specific city. A cinema broadcast creates additional access points in different countries without replicating the entire concert infrastructure.

The format also keeps the experience within an official ecosystem. Fans can check local showtimes, participating theatres and ticket availability through the designated platform instead of depending on unverified social posts or resale accounts. This is especially valuable for a fan base as large and geographically spread out as BTS’s ARMY.

Live viewing is not a substitute for being inside the stadium, but it has become an important layer of the modern concert economy. It extends the commercial life of a tour date, makes participation possible for more fans and creates an event built for both online discovery and physical theatre attendance.

As music companies look for ways to serve worldwide audiences, BTS’s ARIRANG project offers a clear example: a live performance can now be a local stadium event and a global cinema experience at the same time.
