The Export-Import Bank of Pakistan (Pak EXIM) has onboarded AutoSoft Dynamics to implement a modern next-generation Core Banking System, marking a significant step in the bank’s digital transformation strategy.
The new technology platform is designed to support Pak EXIM’s evolving operational, regulatory and business requirements while strengthening its ability to serve Pakistan’s exporters and trade sector.
The initiative is expected to provide Pak EXIM with a scalable and Shariah-compliant technology foundation aligned with its role in promoting Pakistan’s trade, exports and broader economic growth.
The partnership comes as Pakistan’s financial sector continues to move toward technology-driven modernization. Banks and financial institutions are increasingly adopting advanced digital systems to improve operational efficiency, strengthen governance and respond to changing customer and regulatory requirements.
For Pak EXIM, the implementation of a next-generation Core Banking System could provide the technological infrastructure needed to support its expanding responsibilities in export financing and trade development.
The system will also be aligned with Shariah-compliant banking requirements, an important component of the bank’s approach to developing financial solutions for its stakeholders.
Shahbaz Hussain Syed, President and CEO of Pak EXIM, said the bank remains focused on developing the institutional capabilities required to support Pakistan’s export growth agenda.
He described the implementation of the modern Core Banking System as an important part of that vision, noting that the technology investment is expected to enhance operational resilience, improve service capabilities and strengthen governance.
According to Syed, the platform will also help position Pak EXIM to respond to the changing requirements of exporters and other stakeholders as the economy becomes increasingly digital.
The agreement represents a notable opportunity for AutoSoft Dynamics as well. The company will provide the technology platform for an institution that plays an important role in Pakistan’s trade and export ecosystem.
Bilal Mahmood, Chief Executive Officer of AutoSoft Dynamics, said the selection of the company by Pak EXIM represents a defining milestone for Pakistan’s banking technology sector.
Mahmood highlighted AutoSoft’s nearly 60 years of local and regional banking technology experience, along with the global best practices of its parent operating group, Andromeda, a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc.
He said AutoSoft Dynamics was honored to contribute to Pak EXIM’s trade and export objectives, adding that the partnership reflects growing confidence in locally developed enterprise banking systems.
The collaboration also highlights the potential of Pakistan’s domestic technology industry to provide large-scale digital solutions for strategically important institutions.
A modern Core Banking System can integrate key banking operations and provide institutions with a more flexible technology environment for managing products, services, transactions and regulatory requirements.
For Pakistan’s export-finance ecosystem, stronger digital infrastructure could support more efficient financial services and help institutions respond to the needs of businesses involved in international trade.
The Pak EXIM and AutoSoft Dynamics agreement therefore goes beyond a technology upgrade. It represents part of a broader shift toward modernizing Pakistan’s financial infrastructure through scalable, locally supported and Shariah-compliant digital banking technology.
As implementation progresses, the initiative will be closely watched for its potential to strengthen Pak EXIM’s operational capabilities and support the bank’s long-term role in facilitating Pakistan’s export growth.
