Pakistan has taken another step toward strengthening its space programme with the proposed Rs. 37.19 billion PakSat-2 satellite project.
The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has recommended the project for consideration by the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), bringing the proposed satellite programme closer to the next stage of approval.
The PakSat-2 project was among seven development schemes reviewed by the CDWP under the government’s broader Uraan Pakistan development agenda.
The proposed investment reflects Pakistan’s efforts to expand its capabilities in space technology and use satellite infrastructure to support national development.
