Gold Prices in Pakistan Surge by Rs. 13,900 in Biggest Single-Day Increase in Weeks

Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a significant increase on Wednesday, November 4, as the price of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs. 13,900 per tola. The sharp rise brought the price to Rs. 426,036 per tola, marking one of the biggest single-day increases in recent weeks.

The latest increase has drawn attention from investors, jewellery buyers, and traders across the country, as fluctuations in gold prices continue to influence the local precious metals market.

According to the rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also witnessed a substantial increase. It climbed by Rs. 11,917 to reach Rs. 365,257.

The sudden upward movement reflects another major shift in Pakistan’s gold market, where prices can change significantly within a short period. Such fluctuations are closely monitored by people who purchase gold for investment, jewellery, and traditional occasions.

Gold remains an important investment and financial asset in Pakistan. Many households consider it a way to preserve savings and protect their wealth against economic uncertainty. Consequently, substantial price increases often affect purchasing decisions, particularly among consumers planning wedding-related jewellery purchases.

The latest development may also influence retail activity in jewellery markets, as higher prices can make gold ornaments more expensive for ordinary buyers. Customers may reconsider the quantity of gold they intend to purchase or delay buying until prices become more favourable.

Silver prices also moved upward alongside gold. According to the latest market figures, silver recorded an increase of Rs. 295, indicating a broader rise across the local precious metals market.

The simultaneous increase in gold and silver prices highlights the importance of monitoring daily market updates before making investment or purchasing decisions.

Gold rates in Pakistan are influenced by several factors, including international bullion market movements, currency exchange fluctuations, local demand, and developments in the global economy. Changes in international gold prices can have a direct impact on domestic rates, although local market conditions also play an important role.

For jewellery buyers, investors, and traders, the latest increase serves as a reminder that precious metal prices can experience considerable volatility. Those planning to purchase gold or silver should check the latest rates with reliable jewellery market sources before completing a transaction.

With 24-karat gold now standing at Rs. 426,036 per tola, Wednesday’s increase represents a notable development for Pakistan’s bullion market. Market participants will be watching upcoming price movements to determine whether the latest surge continues or prices begin to stabilise.

Consumers should also remember that retail jewellery prices may differ from the announced bullion rates because of additional making charges, designs, and other applicable costs.
