Apple now officially unleashes the new generation of iPad mini, adding features of AI and a powerful A17 Pro Chip for its compact range of tablets. The iPad mini has been the most demanded tablet of choice in the hands of users who want to ensure compactness without compromising mediocre performance. This all-new face is likely to take it to greater heights with AI-driven tools and far superior processing power.
The new generation iPad mini is then powered by the latest-generation A17 Pro chip. This is the same processor applied in iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. Since it is a six-core CPU, it showcases 30 per cent more performance than its earlier peers. This enhances the ability of the chip to process more resource-demanding tasks. More critically, the A17 Pro chip runs proprietary AI software from Apple termed Apple Intelligence, which is installed in a new iPad mini.
AI is the big focus area of this new generation of iPad mini: several AI-powered features boast about the device. They include advanced tools for writing and further refinement for Siri, Apple’s voice assistant that simplifies everyday tasks for its users. This marks the beginning of the new wave of features – rolling out with the iPadOS 18.1 release, with a U.S.-English version at the head of the release. The AI functionalities will be exclusive to A17 Pro and M1-powered devices.
Not going to be exclusive to the latest version, AI at Apple’s focus is the new generation of iPad mini, which has more AI-based applications ingrained into them. Genmoji, based on the capabilities of ChatGPT, will expand possibilities and scope not only in terms of creativity but also productivity. It will get much more easy and seamless inside the Apple ecosystem when AI integration takes place.

Apple will start pre-orders of its latest-generation iPad mini at $499. Shipments begin next week, and the company expects it to arrive in its retail stores soon. As Apple continues to push the envelope with AI, this latest generation of the iPad mini will play an important role in advancing mobile computing for the future.
The strategic announcement underlines Apple’s efforts to integrate AI technology across all devices and expects that such a trend is supposed to influence future product development and boost sales performance through 2024.
