Comedy Central has announced a two-week delay for Digman Season 2, now slated to premiere on July 23 instead of July 9. This change comes alongside the rescheduling of South Park Season 27, which was also moved to July 23.
Although no official statement was released by Digman! creators Andy Samberg and Neil Campbell, the network’s move appears strategic—designed to keep its top animated shows in sync for mid-summer rollout.
The South Park team, however, has been far more vocal. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, co-creators of the long-running series, issued a scathing critique of the Skydance and Paramount merger, blaming it for the disruption. “We are at the studio working on new episodes and we hope the fans get to see them somehow,” they said.
Despite the delay, anticipation for Digman! Season 2 remains high. The series features a standout voice cast, with Samberg returning as archaeologist Rip Digman. Core cast members like Dale Soules, Tim Robinson, and Guz Khan return, backed by a star-studded guest lineup.
Names like Stephanie Beatriz, Dennis Haysbert, Mike Hanford, Lauren Lapkus, Seth Meyers, and Jeffrey Wright are just a few among the many celebrity cameos planned for the new season.
Comedy Central has not confirmed whether the delay will affect episode scheduling beyond the premiere date. However, marketing momentum remains strong, with fans eager to dive back into the chaotic, satirical world that defined Season 1.
