Player Concerns Over Missing Level Icons
In recent days, players of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 have reported an issue where player levels and level icons are not visible in the multiplayer lobby, particularly for matchmade players outside their party. This unexpected change led to speculation within the community, with some suggesting it might be an intentional design to prevent lobby dodging based on perceived skill levels.
Activision Confirms Bug, Not Feature
Responding to the growing concerns, Activision clarified that the absence of player level icons is due to a bug. In a statement posted on their official social media channels, Activision stated:
“We’re investigating a bug where Player Levels and Level Icons may not appear for matchmade players in the Lobby list.”
The company also provided a link to their Trello board, where ongoing issues are tracked and updated. This confirmation aims to reassure players that the issue is not a deliberate change but a technical glitch that is being addressed.
Additional Issues in Season 4
The missing level icons are among several bugs reported in Season 4 of Black Ops 6. Other known issues include:
- Incorrect platform icons appearing in the lobby.
- Placeholder graphics in the loadout menus.
- AI enemies, such as Manglers, getting stuck walking into walls after spawning.
These issues are being actively investigated, with updates provided on Activision’s support channels.
