Game of Thrones Stars Reunite for a Spine-Chilling Horror Film
Kit Harington and Sophie Turner, best known for their roles as Jon Snow and Sansa Stark in HBO’s legendary fantasy series Game of Thrones, have officially completed filming for their upcoming gothic horror movie, The Dreadful.
This marks the first time in six years that the two fan-favorite co-stars are sharing the screen, this time in a chilling, medieval horror tale.
A Stellar Cast Brings ‘The Dreadful’ to Life
Aside from Harington and Turner, the film boasts a strong supporting cast, including:
- Laurence O’Fuarain – Known for his role in The Witcher and a brief appearance in Game of Thrones Season 5.
- Jonathan Howard – Featured in Thor: The Dark World and Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
- Marcia Gay Harden – A veteran actress recognized for Mystic River and The Mist.

A Story Rooted in Medieval History
Written and directed by Natasha Kermani, The Dreadful is set during the War of the Roses, a historical conflict that heavily influenced George R.R. Martin’s novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, which was adapted into Game of Thrones.
The film is expected to deliver dark, eerie visuals and a gripping, suspenseful narrative, much like the haunting medieval settings seen in GoT.
Filming Wrapped in Cornwall, But When Will It Release?
Production for The Dreadful has officially wrapped up in Cornwall, England, a location known for its picturesque yet haunting landscapes, perfect for a gothic horror setting.
While the film has no official release date yet, it will be distributed by True Brit Entertainment, with Turner also serving as a co-producer alongside Luke Daniels, Patrick Hibler, Adam G. Simon, Bull Blumenthal, and Lucas Jarach.
