Now, WhatsApp is also coming up with a feature that allows status resharing updates in order to enhance user experience—so that updates are easily shared. This new functionality will make it easy to reshare status updates where you have been mentioned, much like the Instagram feature for resharing mentions in stories.
A new button in the status update interface, “Status Resharing Updates,” means really fast and easy resharing. No more taking a screenshot or asking the sharer to send the media privately; everything will become very streamlined. Currently, resharing is awkward if a status update contains a mention. With this update, users will finally be able to share content quickly and easily.
Although the feature is still in development and is not yet available for beta testers, it’s expected to roll out to users in an upcoming update. There’s no word from WhatsApp as to how soon this will happen. Once it officially arrives, it surely has the potential to make sharing content with contacts much easier and faster, improving the overall user experience of the platform.
