As of August 2024, Pakistan’s telecommunications sector has achieved a significant milestone, with the number of cellular subscribers reaching 193 million, reflecting a mobile teledensity of 79.41%.
Mobile Broadband Expansion
The surge in mobile broadband users is noteworthy, with subscriptions rising to 138 million, resulting in a penetration rate of 56.72%. This growth underscores the increasing reliance on mobile internet services for communication, commerce, and education.
Fixed Line and Broadband Statistics
Despite the dominance of mobile services, fixed telephone lines maintain a presence with 3 million subscribers, equating to a teledensity of 1.06%. Overall broadband subscriptions have reached 142 million, achieving a penetration rate of 58.19%.
