Winter Vacations Announced for Schools Across Pakistan

As the winter season approaches, provinces in Pakistan have begun announcing school vacation schedules to protect students from harsh weather conditions and environmental challenges. In Punjab, winter holidays are set from December 18, 2024, to January 1, 2025, as part of measures to address the seasonal smog and colder temperatures. The decision follows consultations held by the Punjab School Education Department to prioritize student health and safety​

In Islamabad, winter vacations for both public and private schools will start on December 25 and last until December 31, 2024. Educational activities in the capital are scheduled to resume on January 1, 2025. The announcement aligns with similar measures taken in other provinces​

Sindh has also declared its winter vacation period from December 22 to December 31, 2024, applicable to all private and government educational institutions. These dates aim to ensure the well-being of students amidst cooler temperatures and seasonal holidays​
